Meeting for Healing
During this especially busy and sometimes stressful season, we are gathering at a meeting for Worship with a Concern for Healing, which will occur on Saturday, December 22 in the Parlor at 10:30 a.m.
Buddha's Brain
Discussion group based on the book "Buddha's Brain" meets every third Sunday from noon to 1:00 in the Decatur Place Room.
Christmas Eve Potluck, Caroling, & Worship
Annual Christmas Eve event. Doors open at 5:30; potluck dinner around 6:30, followed by caroling, followed by Meeting for Worship. Charmaine Gilbreath and Mary Campbell bringing turkeys; please bring a dish to share.

Inquirer's Class
Come and learn about the Religious Society of Friends, our history and our spiritual “ways”. Perhaps attending this class will help you understand your spiritual path? Attendance at every class is not mandatory. The group will meet in the Parlor from September 17 at 7:00 pm. to (and including) Monday, October 15, 2012. Talking to your Child about Child Sexual Abuse
Kimberly Acquaviva will speak in the North Room on Sunday, September 16, about “Talking to your child about child sexual abuse”, from 9:00am to 10:15am; she will present ways to talk with children younger than 3rd grade. From noon to 1:30pm, she will talk with us about addressing this issue with children in 3rd grade and older. All adults are welcome, and child care will be provided.
Tuesday Evening Worship & Potluck
Our next second Tuesday evening worship and potluck, for further community fellowship, will be held September 11. Worship will be in the Meeting Room, at 6:30pm, followed by potluck in the Assembly Room at 7:00pm.
Monthly Potluck, William Penn House
You are invited to attend a potluck and Quaker dialogue at 6:30pm, this evening, September 9 at 6:30pm at William Penn House. Jean-Louis Ikambana, of American Friends Service Committee, DC Peace and Economic Justice Program will present the program. This is an opportunity for fellowship among Quakers, attenders and fellow seekers. Bring a dish to share; family members, neighbors and friends are always welcome.
