Today: At noon, Pamela Boyce Simms, a keynote speaker at the upcoming FGC Gathering this July at Niagara Falls will speak at FMW.  At 5:00 pm, you are invited to an Evening of Conversation, with David Thoreson, Ocean Photographer and Activist; and Joseph Robertson (geoversiv.net) on Global Climate Change in observation of Earth Day week.  

April 28 – 29: Hosting Climate Marchers  Friends Meeting of Washington will be opening its doors and floors to marchers this weekend. Please notify Mike Duvall (moduvall@gmail.com) and/or the office if you are willing to staff this effort, either by staying here overnight or helping to make, serve, and clean up breakfast.

April 28: March Today, Lobby Tomorrow Training Join FCNL lobbyist Emily Wirzba for a 90-minute training on how to effectively engage and build a relationship with your members of Congress on climate change. The training in preparation for the People’s Climate March being held on Saturday, and will begin at 4:30pm. There will be a potluck open to all Friends at 6:00 and Meeting for Worship at 7:00. April 28-30:  Men’s Retreat, Catoctin Quaker Camp (Thurmont, MD) This year, all men Friends in BYM are invited to register and gather at Catoctin for dinner sixth day through lunch first day - or any portion thereof.
