Peace Walk

August 1, Sunday 11:45 a.m. Peace Walk – Several months ago Hayden was contacted by a local hotel (in his role as a licensed tour guide) to devise a "Peace Walk" which a hotel planned to include in a package deal. Hayden accepted this as a challenge to consider what local places actually demonstrate Peace and Peacemaking. Friends interested in the resulting walk, which is mostly in the Dupont Circle/Lafayette Park areas are invited at the rise of Meeting to gather near the Decatur Place Room. Hayden will describe the criteria that he used to designate sites and also to pass by sites.  No doubt some Friends will find the selection provocative.  The walk should take about 90 minutes. By the way, to anticipate your question, Hayden reports the tour “bombed with the hotel manager.”
