Children (First Day School) and youth (Young Friends and Grate Patrol) meet the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. Families are encouraged to bring their children and youth to Meeting for Worship on non-RE Sundays.

Our Beyond Gas allies–WIN, Interfaith Power & Light, Sierra Club–pushed hard for over two years and have finally won–and funded!--the Healthy Homes Act, to move 30,000 low income homes from burning fossil fuels to highly efficient, healthier electric energy.  FMW community members, Peace and Social Concerns and our WIN Core group made a substantive contribution to this effort.  Come help us celebrate!  (If it rains, we'll be inside the church.)  Please register here

Jazz Fundraiser for WIN DC, Thursday, June 27, 6:30 pm  Join us for an evening of live jazz to support the critically important social justice, equity and climate work of the Washington Interfaith Network.  DC’s MJP Power Trio (including FMW’s own Bruce Jacobs on drums) will treat us to an evening of Coltrane and jazz standards.  FMW’s Committee on Peace and Social Concerns is proud to host this evening of community, collective joy, and support for our collective work. Friends General Conference (FGC) Summer Gathering, June 30-July 6 - Registration is open!  This year, FGC’s summer gathering will be held nearby, at Haverford College outside Philadelphia.  You can meet Quakers from across the U.S. for shared worship and workshops on Quakerism, spirituality, personal growth and social justice.  Open registration has begun–and workshops fill up fast.  More info and registration.

Quakerism 101:  Online Self-Guided, Introductory Course: This introductory course on Quaker faith and practice was developed for FMW attenders and newcomers who are unable to attend the zoom introductory class or prefer to learn at their own pace. The course covers Quaker faith and practice and consists of five sessions that provide a strong foundation on the rich tradition of the Quakers - Religious Society of Friends.
