Help provide Respite and Welcome to Men, Women and Children Bused from Texas
Sign up to help at FMW on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of July & August

Six days a week, men, women and children, who cross into Texas are being bused 36 hours to DC and dumped at Union Station.  DC residents have formed a volunteer Migrant Solidarity Network to welcome them, assess their needs and, help them get to family in other cities.  FMW supports this effort.  On the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of July and August we will open our doors to provide a welcome and respite place for those newly arrived.   Please sign up here to join FMW folks who want to volunteer.  Also, here’s the list of what is needed–money (for food, bus tickets, clothing, basic necessities), volunteers (to help with respite, drivers, Spanish speakers), short- and longer-term lodging.

Friendly Office Presence (Welcomers) & Hybrid Meeting Techs are needed.

Interested in taking a volunteer (or paid) shift?
