Every year School for Friends parents make and serve a Simple Meal as an act of appreciation to the members of Friends Meeting of Washington for their association with School for Friends and for the use of space at Quaker House.

Peace Vigil/ National Peace March

March 20th Saturday Noon– Please join us in a Peace Vigil at noon this Saturday and every Saturday on the West Lawn of the Capitol. Look for the blue banner with the message, "Seek Peace and Pursue It. --Psalms 34:14" The vigil lasts one hour and is much like a Meeting for Worship with the silence occasionally broken by questions from tourists and the responses that some vigilers are led to offer.
