Today: Ministry & Worship is holding an open discussion with friends about their views on the spiritual state of the meeting. Noon in Decatur Place Room.

   Also at 3:00 pm, we will share a potluck with representatives from Undocublack, a “multigenerational network of currently and formerly undocumented Black people that fosters community, facilitates access resources and contributes to transforming the realities of our people, so we are thriving and living our fullest lives.” All are welcome RSVP Jim Bell (kelleybell21@comcast.net, 240.413.1229).

 

November 29:  Detention Visitor Training – You are invited to a training at FMW from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, led by Erin Hustings, network coordinator for the DC Detention Visitation Network. You will learn how to go with members of the network to visit people who are detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Maryland and Virginia. Dec. 3: Handel’s Messiah  You are invited to a wonderful performance of Handel’s Messiah at Metropolitan AME Church on December 3rd at 5pm - It is FREE. Address for the church is 1518 M St NW, Washington, DC 20005. FMW is partnering with Metropolitan AMEC in the Sanctuary movement.

   Also, the Taskforce on Committee Structure is holding a second threshing session at noon to consider the query: Reimagining how our community works. What are we doing, and where are we going?
